After speaking several times in our blog from panic attacks, I chose this article to give more precise information than something one does not talk much, or what happens to our brain as we experience the terrible feeling of loss of control or of imminent death.
Despite the complexity of our mental structures we can say, simplifying, which are two key areas of our interest to understand this tricky subject: the roles played by what are called the mind archaic and the modern mind. Imagine that each of us has two minds, usually integrated with each other but sometimes end up working in conflict and consegueza haywire. The first, primitive mind, in the face of a possible danger has a way faster access to receive a quick response that does not pass through the reasoning and sometimes may even save our lives. Take, for example a car that is going to run, is the quickness of reflexes that allow us to leap to protect us ... in this case we used the archaic mind! Here it is afraid of having a view of evolution: free adrenaline useful to escape or attack the face of danger.

is the long and winding road traveled by the modern mind, the rational mind, one that "scared" of the physiological changes produced by the archaic mind to deal with a threat (real or only imagined). These are signs that our body experiences when there is adrenaline in the circulation, such as increased heart rate, sweating, rapid breathing, etc., at this point that the rational mind tries to hold off, to slow down, control, but did not succeed. It is here that can trigger an escalation of fear, akin to a sort of duel between our two minds, which can lead to panic attacks or feeling of total loss control.
A vicious circle is maintained and enhanced pathological interaction of our two minds is kind of ironic, as we said before talking about panic attacks, since one part is turned on adrenaline useful in the management of while the other perceived danger signals from their bodies as uncontrollable, with the effect of increasing the feeling of fear and causing the production of new adrenalin going in a circle, until the arrival of the infamous panic attack .. .
Psychotherapy is concerned with solving the problems of fear and panic, in which people can come across. In particular have been developed by the Center for Brief Strategic Therapy of Arezzo, thanks to the work of prof. G. Nardone and his research center, intervention protocols that lead the person afflicted by the pathological fear of panic attacks and quickly find answers and solutions to return slowly to recover that sense of freedom to live fully and serenely his life, shaking off the limitations that these problems unfortunately bring with them over the years.
