Poker 45 Laps: Augusto Martelli / Miguel & I Caravan / Mario Del Monaco / The Grimm

Now back to business as usual after the short break posting the first "poker the 45" of the new year.

AUGUSTO MARTELLI - CAETTAN WAKE, WAKE ME I TAGGIAEN FA (1976)
It 's almost a tradition to play with the language of the Genoese, Portuguese and pretending to be using the music as an area rug or a bossa nova rhythm that points to Brazilian music . Aguamanda for the label (owned by the same Augusto Martelli) released this single in 1976 with a title that suggests a tongue twister, but that means "Lady Catherine, I do these noodles?". A very nice piece written by Franco Franchi , which is not in the pard Ciccio Ingrassia, but an author zenese that those who follow the blog has already got to know earlier. The back, BUTTA LA PASTA Senor, by the signatures, it would seem to be an acronym. Someone will confirm or not. A salute to
Augusto Martelli, who is also a reader of the blog.
MIGUEL and caravans - Frightened (1962)
Who is Miguel & I Caravan? Riddle useless since they already shows us the cover: Toby Lightman. This is his first single, when it was called by his name and surname. Then the disc would be released about three years after being reprinted.
Disc blog knows that already. But it is also interesting, I think, to show the original, with a different back.
Frightened, we all know, means "the refrigerator". I do not know if you've ever seen that special dedicated to Rosanna Schiaffino, where he comes from a refrigerator to the fact that Toby Lightman sings this very song. The back, or BERTOELA, means "the bully".
Here you play with the language of Genoa that is perfectly suited to a music brand purely Brazilian.
MARIO DEL MONACO - UN AMORE COSI 'GRANDE (1976)
unexpected success, that of Mario Del Monaco, who, after having presented the disk to MUSIC NOW, you see launched in the national hit parade.
Performed with great fanfare (as befits its scope to a standard) UN AMORE COSI 'GRANDE also becomes the ultimate workhorse of Claudio Villa (but we are already in the eighties). On the back DICITINCELLO vuje, in an interpretation
"important."
I GRIMM - DREAMS IN PINK (1974)
Perhaps you know the Grimm for their participation in Sanremo in 1979 with LIANA or their most successful singles like "Be My Baby, Angel or princess.
But did you know that the brothers Romano (born in Naples between 1952 and 1957) in 1971 were called Cockers? And to let him record two individual thought Gianni Morandi and his mime? The father intends to launch these three guys contacted many singers and celebrities, some told him negatively, others not responded at all and others (eg, Sophia Loren) would not even accept a cassette. Then, in Rome, in studies of MiMo, not having boxes available, s'industriarono in an impromptu session on the stairs singing of Marmalade REFLECTIONS OF MY LIFE. Result: The two-incision 45.
Then they passed under the wings of the brothers La Bionda to remember.
DREAMS IN PINK is a very pretty song, style bubblegum.
Although in 1974 the term was outdated bubblegum. We say that their singing was very similar to the nascent adenoidal Bay City Rollers and the very first Sweet.
